Events City of Perth Fair Day - 2012 The City Of Perth Pride FAIRDAY® is always the ideal start to the Pride festivities, with our entire community coming together to celebrate our Pride in a relaxed and festive setting that enables businesses, community groups and agencies to interact through stalls, events and ongoing entertainment. A wonderful Family day out. Live bands, DJ's, singers and dancers keep the crowd entertained throughout the day. Families can picnic on the lawn beneath the shade of the Russell Square trees with a special area and activities just for the kids. The Details
PLEASE NOTE: Children will be allowed inside the licensed area if they are accompanied by their legal parent or guardian until 6pm at which time they will be required to vacate the area. Absolutely no alcohol or glass items are allowed to be taken into Russell Square on Fairday, this includes bottles and jars.
The Pride Festival - September to October 2012 A month long celebration of gay and lesbian arts, film, sports and culture. A fair day in Northbridge traditionally opens the festival; it features stalls, activities, and entertainment. Throughout the month a variety of inner city venues host festival events. The closing street party and parade in Northbridge proves a highlight. This parade, the second largest held in Perth, boasts more than 5O floats, 2,000 participants, and 100,000 spectators.
